Our Service Standards

How will EMFS service you?

We start the financial planning process with a free, no-obligation, one-on-one meeting with you to:

  • enable us to gain an understanding of your current financial position;
  • discuss both your personal and financial goals (i.e. in regards to lifestyle, family needs, working life, retirement, etc.); and
  • get a snapshot of what safety measures you have in place to protect your family and lifestyle from unforeseen circumstances relating to your health.

It doesn’t matter what stage of life you are currently in or how much you have to invest; if you have a financial goal or objective then we will do what we can to help you achieve it!

We will formally provide advice to you within four weeks of you providing the detailed facts that are the basis for the provision of that advice.

We generally agree a fixed fee for preparing and presenting the financial plan prior to commencing the preparation of the plan.  Trailing investment product commissions are a rarity and, when they do occur, they are rebated against the agreed fee where possible.  We do accept commissions from the insurance companies in relation to our advice and services relating to your personal insurances.  This is not an additional cost to you.  The commission is paid by the insurance company out of the premiums paid by you to the insurer.
