Alex is a Manager in the firm’s Audit and Assurance division.
With over a decades experience, Alex is highly skilled in understanding and comprehending complex accounting issues and able to provide recommendations that are customised to his clients circumstances, whether it be be for a not-for-profit or a large group of companies. Alex also ensures that the client is regularly updated and involved throughout the audit process, with consistent communication on progress and updating management on any issues identified.
Alex is skiled in preparing financial statements in accordance with the relevant Australian Accounting Standards and legislation. This includes General Purpose Reporting, Simplified Reporting, and Special Purpose Reporting.
Alex has extensive experience performing audits of financial statements in accordance with the Australian Standards on Auditing and with the relevant legislation (Corporations Act, Association Incorporations Act and ACNC Act).
He is also experience in auditing outgoings for (real estate) and performing audits on trust accounts including legal, real estate, conveyancers and accounting.
Alex is able to perform reviews on required reporting requirements for example grant acquittals and subsidiary reporting.
He is able to provide advice to client to identify any areas of weakness in controls that may expose the organisation to fraud or theft. Through consultation with the client, make recommendations on how to minimise the risks identified.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of South Australia and is a Member of CPA Australia.
