Belinda works closely with clients to help them meet their tax compliance obligations by preparing special-purpose financial statements and income tax returns. She also advises on a range of tax and accounting matters for small to medium businesses and not for profit entities.

In addition to taxation compliance, Belinda proactively assists clients in small and medium sized businesses with the management of their business, including monthly management reports, cash flow reports, preparation of budgets and provision of valuable information required for the day to day running of the business.

Belinda specialises in FBT and can provide general advice on the impact and effect of FBT as well as meeting a client’s FBT requirements.
Cloud accounting solutions
Belinda has a special interest in client accounting software, specifically cloud solutions for small to medium sized businesses. Belinda has extensive expertise in Xero and MYOB accounting packages.

Belinda holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Australia and is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Assignment
Audit of a client’s records to ensure employee leave entitlements were being applied for, approved, and recorded correctly in the payroll and accounting records.
Process and outcome
Belinda commenced the process by meeting with the client to identify potential issues. She reviewed all steps involved in the process for recording and maintaining employee leave. Inspections were conducted between the payroll records against all supporting documents to determine the correct leave entitlements for the period in question. The findings were reported to Management, including suggested improvements to the process to ensure accurate leave entitlements are maintained in future.
