Marithe is a Manager within Nexia Edwards Marshall’s Audit and Assurance division.

Marithe is recognised for demonstrating exceptional commitment to owning her work and getting it done.

On her engagements, she focuses on building excellent relationships with the client and her own team as well as ensuring a high quality of audit is performed.

To provide a detailed and informed analysis of financial statement balances, she engages with different stakeholders and applies analytical thinking and professional skepticism to surface more complex issues within the audit and appropriately document conclusions. She performs work and investigates issues with a mindset focused on her responsibilities as an auditor towards the user of the financial statements.

Her academic achievements include being invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society and receiving a Dean's Letter of Commendation and Chancellor's Letter of Commendation. Due to her unyielding commitment to success, she was awarded 'Accounting Student of the Year' at the 2018 Thomson Reuters & Accountants Daily Australian Accounting Awards. This has led her to being invited by Phyllis Tharenou, former Executive Dean of the College of Business, Government and Law, to be a key speaker at the Flinders University Graduation Ceremony in 2018.

Audit and Assurance

Marithe has over five years of professional experience in Audit and Assurance working with medium to large clients with a turnover of more than $1b. She has been regularly recognised for client excellence, leadership and collaborative skills. 
Marithe has had experience working across multiple industries including, defence, agriculture, utilities, manufacturing, education, affordable housing and not-for-profits.

Marithe manages statutory financial audits for a portfolio of clients and delivers them on time and in accordance with professional and firm quality standards.  She is also able to assist clients with navigating through complex technical accounting issues and improving accounting practices and internal controls.

Marithe has also been involved in compliance engagements and grant acquittals.
